The Brief: Design a sound object
In my childhood I used to collect shells from the seaside and then listen to 'the sea' back home, miles away from the sea. I wanted to recreate this, but this time use the real sound of the sea inside the seashells, seagulls and all.

For this project I dismantled a set of Bluetooth headphones which I hid inside two shells and was able to control the sound though my phone. It created a magical experience as the headphones were invisible once pushed deep inside the shells, creating for an interesting audio experience. The shells natural ear-like shape help elevate the sounds making the experience even more realistic. Just close your eyes and be transported to the beach.
